SCORM Requirements

About SCORM

SCORM (Shareable Content Object Reference Model) enables authoring tools to package online courses in a way that learning management systems, like BuckeyeLearn, can understand and use.

Each online course is comprised of a single SCORM file. Each SCORM file is a zip file that can be uploaded to BuckeyeLearn. You should not alter a zip file after your authoring tool has produced it.

SCORM Requirements

All system-tracked content must be SCORM v1.2 or v2004 3rd Edition, or AICC v3.5 compliant.

SCORM files should be published to only include HTML5, not Adobe Flash.

The content owner is responsible for determining if the reporting output will meet the reporting need. As a best practice, testing should be performed in Pilot.

Content Uploader Requirements

Only files up to 700 MB can be uploaded. If your files are larger than that, you may need to divide your course into modules or lower the resolution of included media files. You may upload up to twenty files at once.
