Learning Playlists Requirements and Standards

Playlists are curated collections of LinkedIn Learning titles shared with learners across the university and Wexner Medical Center. As such, they are meant to provide an expert's view of important training on a topic.

This document outlines requirements and standards that must be followed when using the Playlist functionality within BuckeyeLearn.

Curator Account Requirements

The OTDI BuckeyeLearn Support team will create a playlist account that each areas playlists will be created under. This account must have a profile picture that follows OSU branding guidelines.

Playlist Standards

Learning Playlists must:

  • be related to professional development.
  • focus on one cohesive subject.
  • contain a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 15 LinkedIn Learning courses.
  • contain only LinkedIn Learning courses. The playlist cannot contain any other learning objects either owned by the unit or owned by another provider.
  • be made available to all faculty, staff, student employees, and students only (no contractors, guests, volunteers), regardless if the subject relates a small pocket of employees.
  • not relate to compliance
  • not contain the word “playlist” or contain acronyms in the title.
  • have a robust description including:
    • the name, job title, and background of the person who compiled it
    • why they are considered a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the playlist topic
    • the purpose for the playlist
