Communicating about Learning Assignments

Communication Requirements

Without adequate communication to learners, you and the BuckeyeLearn Support team may receive many questions from learners. Communication to learners should include

  • The title of the course being assigned
  • Why the training is being assigned
  • When the training is due, if applicable
  • Contact information for a person in your area to answer learners’ questions
  • A deep link to learners’ transcripts or other instructions for accessing the training
  • IT Service Desk or local IT contact information for learners to get technical assistance

Communication Examples

Use the examples below as starting points for your own communications to learners about learning assignments. Replace sections in italics with the correct information from your learning assignment.

Single course assigned

You have been assigned the training COURSE TITLE, which must be completed by DUE DATE. Visit your BuckeyeLearn transcript to begin your training.

When you have watched the video/material, be sure to return to your BuckeyeLearn transcript to mark your training complete. If you do not, you will not be marked as having completed the training.
