Upcoming May 4 Session: Improving Competencies Around Workday Reporting
On Wednesday, May 4, from 12-12:45 p.m., join a virtual session focused on improving competencies around Workday reporting. This session will focus on several report uses to help answer common business questions HR is expected to answer including a look at the difference between sup orgs and cost centers in terms of reporting. In addition, the data analytics team will be available to answer questions from attendees on reporting topics. This training is encouraged for anyone who uses Workday reporting. Recorded April 21 Session: Employee Position and Data Report
If you were unable to join the recent Workday office hours on Thursday, April 21, you can access the recording . This session focused on digging deeper into the Employee Position and Data Report.
April Finance Office Hours will be held from noon - 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19. The topics discussed will be focused on year-end activities. Use the MS Teams link to join.
“In Progress” journal entries that are older than 6 months will be cancelled beginning at the March month end close (April 7) and will be an on-going process. Self-review can be done by running the “Find Journals – OSU” report. You can select “In Progress” as the Status and put the initiator’s name under “Originated by” to narrow your search. The original initiation date can be found under “Status History” or “Process History” once you open the entry.
Regular reviews and cleanups are strongly encouraged. If the “In Progress” entries are needed, please have them approved to avoid potential cancellation.

Note: This meeting is a continuation of the Finance Office Hours originally held on 1/18/22 and will be a discussion about the recent business process retreats, with a focus on supply chain processes.

We’ll walk through how to use a helpful summary of reports to harness Workday’s real-time data. Registration is not required. Use MS Teams to join the session. Grants Administrators and Fiscal staff are encouraged to attend t he second Research Reporting Office Hours session on Tuesday, December 7 , from 11 a.m. to noon . The agenda will include a demonstration of using additional Workday reports needed for answering common questions about your grants.
