October was all about strengthening our cyber defenses and empowering Buckeyes to stay safe online. Ohio State tapped in to a series of events hosted by the the Big Ten Academic Alliance. The events encouraged user to explore simple, accessible tools like Have I Been Pwned show that protecting yourself doesn’t have to be complicated; small actions can make a big difference in keeping your data safe.

The focus on stories was important, said Reg Jackson, security engineer at The Ohio State University’s Office of Technology and Digital Innovation (OTDI).
“One of the reasons that we communicate and why we tell stories is to tell people about bad things that happen to other people,” he said.
