Assign Academic Standing for an Individual Student

Instructions from The Office of the University Registrar to assign academic standing for an individual student.

Records and Enrollment→Student Term Information→Term History

  1. Navigate the the Academic Standing page.
  2. Enter Search Criteria, then select the Search button link to open the student's record.
  3. Select desired term from Search Results.
  4. Select the Academic Standing tab.

  5. Choose the appropriate term by selecting the Show next row link (arrow icon). If there is an existing academic standing row for the term, you will need to insert a new effective-dated row by selecting the Add a new row at row 1 link (plus sign icon).
  6. Check the Manual Override checkbox, or the Academic Program and Academic Standing Action fields cannot be updated.
  7. Complete the following fields:
    1. Academic Program
    2. Academic Standing Action (actions include the following but vary by career)
      1. DISE Disenrollment
      2. DISM Dismissal (to be completed by OUR only)
      3. GOOD Good Standing
      4. PROB Probation
      5. REIN Reinstatement
      6. SPPD Special Action Probation/Department
      7. SPPP Special Action Probation/Primary
      8. SPPS Special Action Probation Secondary
      9. SPPU Special Action Probation/University
      10. SUSP Suspension
      11. WARN Warning
  8. Select Save button link. The Academic Standing can be validated by viewing the Advising Report.
