Google Workspace Studio

Google Workspace Studio is a central digital workspace powered by Gemini AI, where users can set up automatic helpers, called AI “agents”, to automate everyday work, from simple tasks to complex processes.

Google Workplace users can direct agents to carry out entire multi-step tasks on their own, like looking up information, and writing a response, without knowing how to write computer code. Type out what you want done in plain English, and the system connects apps (like Drive, Docs, and Sheets) to do the busywork such as copying data between spreadsheets or writing repetitive notices.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Connects All Apps- It links Google Workplace apps together—saving an attachment into Drive, updating a Google Sheet, and sending a quick message in Chat—all in one automatic step.
Native Multimodal Processing(Voice, Video and Audio)-Workspace Studio agents can listen to recorded meetings or watch class video clips to pull out main points, write quick summaries, and list next steps.
  • SafetyNet (“Drafts First”)- The AI doesn't just send emails or change records on its own. It creates a draft first, so a real person can look it over, make quick edits, and approve it before anything goes out.
  • Google Workplace Studio can be accessed from the Google Workplace icon in Google Workspace or through the web browser at studio.workspace.google.com. Remember, log in using your Ohio State username (lastname.#@osu.edu) and password to use the Ohio State managed account.
