Changing Data Steward or Approver for Existing Domains

Accurate, up-to-date data stewards and approvers are crucial for the care taking and safeguarding of data. Below is the process to updating data stewards and approvers. 

  1. Requests to change data steward or approvers for existing domains should be directed to DataGovernance@osu.edu.
    • If a request is received by another team, such as Access Management or Data Engineering, the request should be re-directed to the Data Governance group email (datagovernance@osu.edu).
  2. Once a request is received by Data Governance, the team will review and work with the Data Governance Council to approve.
  3. After council approval of the change in data steward/approver, Data Governance will coordinate updates to the Data Stewards Directory and notify Access Management of the change.
