December 2020 Period Close

As we prepare for our final Period Close in PeopleSoft and Great Plains, it’s important to be aware that we will firmly follow our normal close schedule. With this in mind, please anticipate the work that must be done in advance for an efficient close.

  • January 8 (Day 5) - last day for University and non-central accounting areas to post entries for December 2020.
  • January 15 (Day 10) - last day for Central Accounting for OSUHP, OSUP, and OSUHS to post entries, including statistics.
  • January 20 (Day 12) - last day for campus Central Accounting to make final adjustments before 6:00 p.m. After this, the conversion team will begin pulling data for the general ledger conversion.

 

After conversion, we will communicate the schedule for the first Period Close in Workday, which will take place in February 2021. Please reference the close schedule that will be shared in NewsLink as usual.
