Managers and HR Consultants Can Now Assign Employees from One Manager to Another in Workday
A recent enhancement is now in effect for how employees’ reporting structure data can be updated in Workday. As of Friday, Aug. 12, managers, manager liaisons and HR consultants have access to initiate assigning an employee or vacant position to another manager in Workday.
Managers, manager liaisons and HR consultants no longer need to gather employee data and submit a request through HR Connection if the new manager has a supervisory organization associated with the correct staffing model. This enhancement helps streamline the process, eliminates the need for manual data collection and increases the communication managers will receive throughout the process.
To initiate moving an employee or position to another manager in Workday, search for “Move Workers” in the Workday search bar and select Move Workers (Supervisory). If the new, proposed manager does not have the correct supervisory organization, a request should be submitted through hrconnection.osu.edu (link is external).
