Fees for booking a flight have been reduced and after-hours service has been upgraded for individuals traveling on university business. Both enhancements are effective Friday, March 1.
Reduced fees: The new booking fees for flights represent savings of up to 20 percent. Fees now range from $5 to book flights online (through Concur) on most airlines to $18 for international flights booked through an agent. See the fee schedule .
Improved service : Travelers who need access to an agent after normal business hours will receive improved response times because the university has upgraded to an exclusive service line. The new service, at 1-833-200-0261, is available weekends, holidays and on weekdays from 7pm – 8am EST Monday through Friday. [ Note: Employees should discard keycards and other information with the former after-hours number.]
The improvements reflect some of the near-term benefits of the travel initiative, which requires individuals traveling on university business to book their flights and car rentals through Ohio State’s travel partners. Because all travelers are booking travel the same way, Ohio State can use our size and scale to enhance service and reduce costs.
